The Pontifical Palace in Castel Gandolfo

The Pontifical Palace has been transformed into a museum that preserves artifacts related to the history of the Vatican, such as the costumes and cars of the former popes.

Tourists have access to the marble-floored papal apartments, the papal portrait gallery, the summer office, and even the private bedroom.

Barberini Gardens (The Papal Gardens)

The masterfully maintained Papal Gardens are a sight to behold.

Whatever time of year you visit, you will be greeted by lush greenery all around.

You can relax in the shade of the Giardino Della Madonnina which was designed in 1933 at the behest of Pope Pius XI.

Don’t miss the historic sculptures as you enjoy the view of the Belvedere Garden.

After the tour of the Apostolic Palace, we’ll pick you up in our golf cart and drive you through the meticulously kept grounds of the Pope’s summer residence.

Your destination is the Pope’s 50-acre private farm – the location of your divine cooking experience.

Supplying the Vatican with all the ingredients for the Pope’s breakfast, lunch, and dinner, the Pope’s farm is home to cows, free-range chickens, bees, and a sprawling vegetable garden.

It also produces its own olive oil and dairy products consumed by the Pope himself.

Here, at our exclusive cooking school on the papal estate, you’ll meet your professional chef, who will greet you with an antipasti and sparkling welcome.

You’ll then dive into learning the traditional methods of making authentic fresh pasta and dessert by hand, using all the fresh ingredients from the Pope’s farm itself.

Lunch is then served with the food you’ve prepared, making a perfect Italian feast paired with TOP local wines from wineries carefully selected in collaboration with Marco Tenerini.

As you digest your delicious homemade lunch, we’ll take you on a slow, scenic drive through the landscaped Barberini Gardens.

En route we’ll visit several sites: an ancient Roman amphitheater and imperial crypotporticus, built by the mad, bad, emperor Domitian in the late first century AD.
