Our family, Balsamic Vinegar producers since 1910, welcomes you and let you take your vinegar directly from the barrels.
The privileged guests of WFTI will be personally guided by the owner on an exceptional historical and sensorial journey inside the Acetaia founded in 1910, surrounded by the family vineyards.
You will visit the area of the Family Archive usually closed to the public and you will be able to collect the vinegar from the barrels yourself.
Then you will taste a typical lunch of the area, all tailored around Balsamic Vinegar (in pairing also with a Wine Spectator Top 100 listed wine.)
Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena – Obtained from the slow cooking on direct fire of musts of Trebbiano and Lambrusco grapes, aged in little barriques of different woods (oak, cherry, juniper, chestnut, ash, acacia, mulberry) for minimum 12 years. This nectar has a balanced sweet-and-sour taste which will sublime any sweet or savoury dish: from starters, first courses, meat, to cheese and desserts. It is as well a great digestif if enjoyed pure off a spoon at the end of the meal.

Founded in 1910, today our farm is spread over an area of over 11 hectares of vineyards, from which the entire production process starts, which takes place entirely within the estate.
In addition to the modern production buildings, our Acetaia boasts two rooms for the maturation of the precious Black Gold and a shop with sale of Balsamic Vinegar and other food & wine excellence of the area.
We are proud to host visitors from all over the world in order to spread the culture of balsamic vinegar and its centuries-old production rituals.

During this exceptional private tour tailor-made only for WFTI guests, you will go on a sensory journey to discover the Black Gold of Modena.
It will be, exceptionally, the owner himself, to guide you through the mysteries of the family art handed down from generation to generation for over a century.
From the harvest of the native grapes to the most important and delicate phase: that of reinforcements and decanting, you will discover all the secrets of timeless mastery by immersing yourself in the aromas and flavors released by the centenary barrels.
We offer you a journey through the history of one of the food and wine excellences of the area recognized throughout the world.
You will then also visit the family’s Historical Acetaia, a reserved area of production NOT accessible to ordinary visitors as it is located on the private property of the owner.
Each participant will be able to personally take a sample of Traditional Balsamic Vinegar directly from the oldest barrels of the Marchi family to have a tangible and sensorial memory of the experience.

The Balsamic Vinegar is a very unique condiment, produced in limited quantity and only in the geographical areas of Modena & Reggio Emilia.
