COLTIBUONO Toscana CANCELLI supertuscan – Wine Spectator’s TOP 100 vertical wine tasting in a millenary Abbey, winery & restaurant.
This is a place where to feel HISTORY of wine, more than 500 years.
Explore a millenary Abbey, enjoy vertical tastings usually reserved to PROFESSIONALS and a marvellous Tuscan FULL LUNCH menù with a very special pairing of 4 Coltibuono top wines.
Visit the usually closed areas: the Renaissance garden, the cloister of the Abbey, the frescoed refectory, the courtyard and the historic cellar, the “Engineer’s” room with billiards and cabreo (ancient geographical document).
Vertical tasting of WS TOP 100 “Cancelli”, vertical tasting of ten-year Reserves and a historical Riserva or important vintages of the 2 supertuscans, “Sangioveto” and “Montebello”.

Experience in the millenary Abbey “Badia a Coltibuono” begin with guided tour: Renaissance garden, cloister of the Abbey, frescoed refectory, courtyard and historic cellar, then the so-called “Engineer’s” room with billiards and cabreo (ancient geographical document relating to the land properties of Coltibuono).
Some special Vertical Tastings await you: Wine Spectator’s TOP 100 “Cancelli”, then 10-year Reserves and a “historical” Riserva or important vintages of the 2 Coltibuono’s Supertuscans, “Sangioveto” and “Montebello”.
For lunch you’ll go to the restaurant for a marvelous tasting menù with a very special pairing of 4 Coltibuono top wines.

Though ripe and lush, this is also dense, with pointed tannins giving a physical sensation and lifting the cherry, strawberry and floral flavors. Finds a nice youthful equilibrium in the end, where mouthwatering acidity roams. Best from 2023 through 2038. 24,150 cases made, 5,295 cases imported. —BS

A rich, charming red, full of cherry, blackberry, spice and earth flavors. Leans toward a modern style, yet displays a touch of wild herbs and firm tannins, lending a sense of place. Sangiovese and Syrah. Drink now through 2020. 13,333 cases made. —BS
For LUNCH you’ll go to Badia a Coltibuono Restaurant, situated in the original but refurbished stables, and, with elegant contemporary flair, the restaurant’s atmosphere is warm and welcoming, while the surrounding garden enhances the overall mood with a touch of romance.
Here you will enjoy a marvelous tasting menù with a very special pairing of four Coltibuono top wines, including famous and very rare dessert wine “Occhio di Pernice” (Vin Santo “Eye of Partridge”).
