Chef Patrizio superstar!!!
During your lessons chef Patrizio, who has been with us for over 30 years (always supported by a valid English translator), guides the courses.
Patrizio will illustrate the fundamental concepts of Tuscan cuisine based on the use of extra virgin olive oil and seasonal vegetables.
Chef Patrizio will assist you in preparing dishes deriving from our oldest culinary tradition, revealing recipes dating back to the Medici’s Renaissance era.
The cooking school can be thematic (for example, fresh pasta or extra virgin olive oil) and involves the preparation of all lunch courses (2 appetizers, 2 first courses, 1 main course with side dish and dessert).
During the cooking school and lunch we’ll taste the wines produced in Capezzana (Chardonnay, Vin Ruspo, Villa di Capezzana, Trefiano and Vinsanto).
The cooking school takes place in the historic family kitchen in the Medici Villa.
During lunch, guests will have the opportunity to meet a member of the Contini Bonacossi family who will be at the table with them.

In Carmignano vine was already cultivated in the pre-Roman era, about 3,000 years ago, as shown by the wine vessels and tasting bowls found in the Etruscan tombs.
In the state archives of Florence, a parchment dated 804 was found: it is a rental contract that documents how olive trees and vines were grown in Capezzana as early as 1,200 years ago.
In the early Renaissance, a woman, Monna Nera Bonaccorsi, built the first “casa da Signori” and nine farmhouses with the relative wine-growing plants: it was 1475.
